This policy explains what personal data Tadka Captions ("Tadka", "we", "us") collects when you use tadkacaptions.in and the Tadka app, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Tadka is operated by Rahul Mane, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Your email address, to create your account and send you sign-in codes.
- Usage information: your plan and how many minutes of audio you have transcribed each month, so we can apply plan limits.
- Audio from videos you caption, which is sent to our speech service only to create captions. We do not store this audio on our servers.
- Caption text sent to our AI service when you use AI tools such as Hinglish conversion, fixing mistakes, keywords, emojis or translation. It is processed to return results and not stored by us.
- Payment details, when you subscribe. Payments are handled by Razorpay. We receive the payment status and plan, never your full card or bank details.
What we don't collect
Your videos are opened and processed inside your own browser. They are never uploaded to our servers. Your projects, caption styles and settings are saved in your browser on your device.
Why we use your data
- To provide the service: sign-in, transcription, AI caption tools and exports.
- To apply your plan's monthly minutes and features.
- To process payments and send receipts.
- To answer your support requests.
- To keep the service secure and prevent misuse.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your audio, videos or captions to advertise to you.
Services we use
We share only the data needed with these providers, who process it on our behalf:

Some of these providers process data outside India. We choose providers with strong security practices.
How long we keep data
We keep your account email, plan and usage while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete this data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as payment and tax records.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data we hold about you.
- Correct or update it.
- Delete your account and personal data.
- Withdraw your consent, which means we will close your account.

Children
Tadka is meant for people aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, use Tadka only with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Cookies and browser storage
We use your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to save your projects and settings on your device. We do not use advertising cookies.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to our systems is limited and protected. No service is perfectly secure, so please keep access to your email account safe, since it is how you sign in.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. For significant changes, we will let you know by email or in the app.
